Scrooby Community Cinema First Screening a Great Success
Scrooby Community Cinema's first screenings were a great success. Both HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON and MADE IN DAGENHAM were really popular.
Finanically, the screenings were also a success:
- 22 paying children attended the afternoon showing of How to Train Your Dragon, £88.00 was taken on the door.
- 35 paying people attended the evening showing of Made in Dagenham, £140.00 was taken on the door.
- The sweet shop took £32.96 (£18.36 in the afternoon and £14.60 in the evening).
The figures above are takings, from which the cost of film licences and sweet and drink purchases need to be deducted. The distributor of the film's (Filmbank) charged £93.00 for Made in Dagenham and £79.00 for How to Train Your Dragon. So, from £228.00 entry fees taken, £56.00 will be retained. This money will be used to reduce ticket prices at future showings.
