Scrooby Parish Council Minutes 06 07 2009

Monday 6th July 2009 7.30pm Scrooby Village Hall

1. Present

Ed Marshall, Dennis Marshall, Heidi Robbins, Dennis Brooke, Christine Bailey, Matt Pollard.

3. Minutes of last meeting

Proposed as a true record by Dennis Marshall and seconded Heidi Robbins. All agreed.

4. Matters Arising

None to be addressed.

5. Correspondence/Declaration of any other business

None to be addressed.

6. District Councillor?s report

DC Terry Yates reported that Sheila Place had been re-elected at the County Council elections and there had been a change to conservative from labour at the county level.

7. Finance Report

Dennis reported that the annual return for 31st March 2009 has been internally audited and signed off.

The annual accounts statement was read out and agreed by all.

A bill has still not been received from the gas supplier for the village hall. Readings have been sent and Dennis will contact the supplier again.

Status presented. See appendix A attached.

Cheques passed for payment. NNL two cheques for a total of £218. Rent for bus shelter £1 plus vat. Linda Fisher (cleaning) £100.

8. DSA Robin Hood Airport

Nothing to report

9. Police Report

No officer present. 3 attempted burglaries reported. 1 burglary reported.

10. Village Plan/Planning

A planning application for a conservatory has been received from Mr and Mrs Arrowsmith Holmefield Croft, Scrooby. The PC has no objections

11. Play Area/Village Hall

Play Area

Goal posts have been ordered for the Croft.

The net has not been supplied yet for the climbing frame.

Matt Pollard will repair the chicken in the play area.

The dip in the Croft is to be levelled. This may need a working party.

Village Hall

One window needs new glass and a new catch. A sealed unit has been broken by NNL; they will pay the repair costs.

12. Environment

Ed is to contact NCC regarding the diseased tree on the Croft.

Concerns have been raised regarding difficulty walking across the Mattersey Footpath. Ed will contact Mr P Scholey regarding this issue.

13. Any other business

The neighbourhood watch needs a new co-ordinator. Ed is to contact Mr Gary Coombes who has shown an interest. Matt Pollard will be happy to take on the position if Mr Coombes is no longer interested.
